SPRING ENRICHMENT: Demystifying Death and Dying

In order to continue our mission of improving knowledge about end of life care, we have an enrichment program that offers the opportunity for education and discussions regarding death and dying.

This is our first session of the Spring Conference.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
Learners will be able to list the four major BioEthical principals involved in medical care. Autonomy, Beneficence, non-maleficence, justice

Learners will be able to elucidate three common reasons why the conversation does not happen. No education for providers, uncomfortable and emotional, fears of destroying hope and causing depression

Learners will be able to name at least three resources and occasions for having an advance care planning discussion. Theconversationproject.org, National Healthcare Decisions Day, Talk Turkey project. Death Cafes
